The Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL has launched a new commercial brand to revolutionise the telecommuications sector in the country and beyond. Blue, is the new brand which will serve as a vehicle to transport CAMTEL’s fixed, mobile and internet services to the consumers. The brand was first launched internally on Thursday, August 19 in Yaounde during a ceremony in which the General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday Achidi presented the product as a reflection of the institution’s values of Change Management and Customer Centricity. She said the new brand is aimed at giving the customer best services wherever they are across the country and CAMTEL is determined to ensure BLUE is available across the country; in urban areas as well as the periphery. Blue is a complementary brand to Camtel. Camtel remains the corporate brand. Blue is revolutionary, so it would gradually absorb all the services of Camtel, which will have to comply with the Digital, Smart and Simple tripartite. This name reflects the values of a Cameroon company, proud of its roots, it’s achievements, it’s history, which is now immersed in global competition,” the GM said. Presenting the brand to reporters last Saturday, August 21, CAMTEL’s Head of Marketing and Communication explained that that the brand carries the aspiration of the company to provide maximum satisfaction to its clients. It is for this reason that they are looking to embrace the market in a unique manner to give clients a new experience of telecommunication services. He stressed BLUE is a one-packege wireless, no installations, high speed, unlimited downloads, fast and easy recharge, for smartphones, office as well as homes. Injecting the new strategy, BLUE looks to progressively win over the market through new standards and a new vision which will ee the brand become a leader in service provisions by 2024 and data solutions by 2025
